Reason for encounter: 25 y/o with painful urination

• 25-year-old woman with recent history of unprotected vaginal intercourse
• Presents with 3 days of dysuria (painful urination) and increased urinary frequency
• Reports new onset of vaginal discharge
• Physical examination reveals mucopurulent (pus-like) vaginal discharge
• Bimanual pelvic exam is normal, with no evidence of pelvic tenderness or masses
