Karen Floyd 45 years lady presenting with history of a bad, cramping or a stabbing abdominal pain on the lower half of the belly for ten years. Pain has been on and off, not increasing in intensity, it is worsened by eating wrong foods or when stressed and relived by having a bowel movement. She reports sometimes the pain is severe and other times its mild, lasts few minutes to one hour and does not radiate to other places. Occasionally she experiences loose and watery bowel movement 4-5 times a day, feeling bloated, constipation, passing gas a lot and belching. Lately she has also been experiencing occasional hot flashes, dry skin headaches. She denies pain after eating wheat, dairy products, with breathing, lifting, and does not increase with periods. No history of nausea, vomiting, bloody stool, black tar-like, or foul-smelling stool.
